Installs
We design, install and maintain inground lawn sprinklers & irrigation systems in southeasten Wisconsin. Every customer's irrigation needs, whether residential or commercial, are unique. Some lawns are large, requiring only the rotary lawn sprinklers. Others are small, which are better designed with gentle watering mist sprinklers. In addition, many properties have flower gardens or shrubs where even more specialized drip irrigation may be needed. Most customers require a combination of options. Dj's design experience is unparalleled, resulting in the perfect sprinkler system for your particular lawn and landscaping needs.
Effective system design, although very important, is only the first step. It is just as important that trained technicians layout, install and test your new lawn sprinkler system. Dj's employs a permanent staff of trained supervisors and laborers on every job. They use the most current technology and tools to complete the installation of an attractive and efficient underground lawn sprinkler system. They also focus on affecting the least disruption to your lawn as possible during the installation.

A spring start-up is an important service because we get to see your system at the beginning of the watering season before any water is unnecessarily wasted or any turf areas or plant material get neglected. Think of it as your yearly tune-up and preventative maintenance. Contact us early to schedule this service as spring is one of our busiest seasons. If you want your system started by a certain date, contact us a few weeks before to guarantee we can do it. We get a lot of last minute people calling on a hot day in May and they get mad at us when they have to wait. Remember, we can start-up your system even if you're not ready to use it yet. It will be set up and tested and simply left in the "off" position until you are ready for regular watering.
Fall Blow-Out
A fall blow-out is another service that we provide to our customers. To have your fall blow-out scheduled, simply call the office and we will set a date to perform this important service. A fall blow-out is an important service because it prevents freeze damage that will occur to your system in the winter months. Contact us early to schedule this service as fall is also one of our busiest seasons. If you want your system blown out by a certain date, contact us a few weeks before to guarantee we can do it.
Service
All service calls (except for turn-ons and blow-outs, which are priced by the zone) are subject to a $30.00 service charge and a $60.00 per hour labor rate, which is billed in 15 minute increments. This charge includes our costs of sending a skilled worker with a fully equipped vehicle to your house, the office help it takes to get your appointment scheduled quickly and efficiently, and other costs associated with taking care of you as a customer (printing, mailing, phone calls etc.). We are here to help you maintain a beautiful yard, if you see a problem let us know right away. It will save you money in the long run (i.e.. wasted water), keep your lawn healthier and prevent you from getting aggravated with us if you call in the middle of a drought and we are backed up and can't get there for a few days.
As far as warranty goes, if any component of your system should not perform correctly within the warranty period, we will take care of it. For example if your controller was unable to keep the correct time, or if you had a leak in one of your pipes, we would be right out to rectify the problem at no charge to you. Head adjustments and timer programming are sometimes a gray area. Of course, if we install a new system and a head is spraying out into the road, we are going to come back and adjust the head for you. Sometimes a customer will call us a year after the installation is complete about a head that they need adjusted because of a new landscape plant they have added or because the neighborhood kids have played with the heads on the way to the bus stop. Of course we need to charge for this service call as it costs us money to take care of a problem for you that is no fault of our own. The same applies for timer programming, we always give complete instructions on how to run your system at the end of the installation and include an instruction booklet for your timer with the installation. We are willing to help our customers in any way possible including talking you through programming over the phone. We feel that our personal after installation instruction, factory provided instruction booklet, and over the phone consultation should be more than enough information to get you through programming problems. If not, we will decide if you will be billed for a programming service call at our own discretion.
